Honestly, the best credit card is different for each individual. That's why before you apply for a card online, you really need to look at your financial situation and assess your needs and fee rates. I have come to the conclusion that anyone can benefit from a card, so long as you choose one that offers the right things for you.
Perhaps you're like my parents and have been burned by cards in the past. There are many people who have been through the wringer with card debt. They feel, as my parents feel, that they have been through card hell, and have no desire to repeat their mistakes and get roped in by anything another card offers.
However, the fact that you've had problems before does not mean that you should turn your back on cards forever. Nor does it mean you have to. Many people assume that if they have a history of bad credit, no card offers will come their way again.
The truth is quite different. Card companies make offers
specifically geared to those with bad credit. They also make cards
specifically for frequent flyers, Wal-Mart shoppers, or frequent
movie-goers. You can find many incentives from
companies these days, so it's worth shopping for one with the
benefits you'll use the most.
