Some say that the best credit card is Master Card. Others say Visa or Citybank. And many people prefer Diner's Club or American Express.  So, who is right?  At least I can tell you what it should be: The best card is

Your job is then to find the credit card with the lowest APR, or annual percentage rate.  This determines the amount of interest you pay on your  card balances. The lower the APR your card offers, the less you'll have to pay.

But let's say you have a bad credit history and thus do not qualify for a card with a the lowest APR. Then you should find one that offers you the lowest APR you qualify for.
